Urzkartaga is a plant god of African origins. Worshiped as the central figurehead of a matriarchal tribe, these women bear the pelts of leopards and perform human sacrifices to appease their divinity. More than Urzkartaga, they also worship his consort, the Cheetah.
Every year, the tribe chooses a virginal woman as a sacrifice to the god. She is given a mixture of the being's blood as well as that of human sacrifices. This endows her with the powers of the the Cheetah. To keep these gifts, she must murder and offer their blood to Urzkartaga.
The Bouda, a warrior race of werehyenas, are devoted to Urzkartaga. To them, the Cheetah is a goddess.
