Joe Atkinson, a former OSS agent, is the director of the Inter-Agency Defense Command headquartered in Washington, DC. His agents in the field are Deputy Director Steve Trevor and newly reassigned Diana Prince. Together they receive urgent directives from the President via secured conference monitor. Joe has a daughter, Elena who attends college at UCLA. Eventually Joe gets "bumped upstairs" and Steve takes his place with Diana as his top agent in the field.
