Joye Hummel Murchison Kelly was the first woman to write for Wonder Woman.

At the age of 19, Murchison began ghostwriting Wonder Woman stories when creator William Moulton Marston became ill. From 1945 to 1949, she wrote at least 72 entries in the pages of Sensation Comics, Wonder Woman, and Comic Cavalcade. She also penned narratives for the Wonder Woman newspaper strip.[1]
