Artemis was the Olympian Goddess of the hunt and the moon, Patron deity of the Amazons and Taurians.
History[]
Artemis a member of an extra-dimensional race of beings known as the Olympians who were worshipped as gods in Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. Artemis is the daughter of Zeus , Ruler of the Olympian gods, and Leto, a minor Titaness. His wife, Hera , discovered Zeus' infidelity and cursed Leto, decrying that she must give birth to her child in a land where the sun never shone. Zeus used his power to raise an underworld island named Delos - a land untouched by the light of the sun. There, Leto gave birth to twin children, Apollo and Artemis.

Artemis is still the goddess of the hunt and the moon and contrary to previous version is not the patron dirty of the amazons. Artemis makes her first appearance in issue # 11 where she seeks the aid of Demeter. Artemis along her brother Apollo have been appointed by Hera to retrieve Zola. After confronting Wonder Woman and Hermes, Artemis and Apollo take Zola to mount Olympus.
Powers and Abilities[]
As Olympian goddess, Artemis is immortal and possesses superhuman strength, the ability to change shape and the ability to create crescent shaped projectiles.
