Aeaea is the island home of the great sorceress Circe. Aside from Circe the island is populated by various animals which are presumably her transmogrified victims.
Circe washed up on Aeaea after she was exiled from her home in Colchis for murdering her husband. On the brink of death she met Hecate who offered Circe a fifth of her own soul known as a 'Witchmark' which Circe accepted and swiftly used to seek revenge on those who had exiled her from Colchis, turning them into animals. Circe would make Aeaea her permeant home and turned any men who trespassed on the island into animals, although she would make exceptions for those that came to her with an interesting offer.
While Aeaea is surrounded with dangerous razor sharp rocks the island itself is mainly a luscious green paradise, doted with Hellenic style buildings, not unlike Themyscira, although Aeaea's climate and appearance are prone to change depending on Circe's whims. Circe mainly lives in the caves beneath island which are well furnished with both magical facilities, such as cauldrons and a shrine to Hecate, as well as modern luxuries like electrical lighting and a flat screen TV.
